Job description

Provides exceptional guest service by offering beverages, taking beverage orders, processing payment transactions, and delivering drinks to guests in a timely manner. Interacts with guests, anticipates guests’ needs, and responds to general guest inquiries.


  • Circulates designated beverage service section, greets guests, announces presence, and offers complimentary beverages and beverages for sale to resort guests.
  • Delivers exceptional guest service (i.e., prompt, friendly, professional, and responsive), using proper greeting and departure phrases and service standards established by F&B management.
  • Obtains guests’ beverage orders and serves them accordingly.
  • Provides guests with drink options, while up-selling extended beverage menu offerings.
  • Communicates with beverage management to provide appropriate levels of service to top-tiered Club Chumash players (e.g., Black and Platinum).
  • Enters beverage orders into point-of-sale (POS) system to ensure accurate preparation and tracking of product and inventory.
  • Uses POS system to redeem Loyalty points for guests.
  • Generates beverage checks and processes payments as applicable.
  • Assists with bussing cocktail tables and other beverage areas, as necessary.
  • Maintains RBS parameters on service of alcoholic beverages, identifying guests showing signs of intoxication; informs supervisor or manager on duty with any concerns.
  • Completes all opening, running, and closing duties.
  • Maintains knowledge of the specialty cocktails, liquor brands, beer, and wine available at the casino bar.
  • Addresses guests’ concerns and resolves issues as appropriate and according to policy/procedures; involves management as needed.
  • Provides information on resort amenities, events, promotions, etc. in order to increase levels of guest service.
  • Maintains knowledge of casino floor layout, beverage service sections and boundaries, and resort amenities.
  • Complies with tip reporting and handling procedures.
  • Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to sell or serve distilled spirits. Team Members under 21 but at least 18 years of age may sell or serve beer and wine in non-gaming areas.
  • Must register in the RBS Portal, take training from an authorized RBS Training Provider, and pass the ABC Alcohol Server Certification exam within 30 days of employment.
  • Must successfully complete Serv Safe within 30 days of employment.
  • Previous experience in guest services.
  • Previous beverage serving experience, including alcohol is preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
