Since opening in 2012, Mobyโs has become a Hamptons institution, known for its Coastal Italianโinfluenced menu, expansive garden, and high-energy summer service. With nearly 300 seats, a large seasonal team, and a fast-paced operating environment, Mobyโs requires strong operational leaders who thrive on the floor and are passionate about hospitality.
We are seeking a Restaurant Manager who is highly organized, guest-focused, and committed to building strong teams. This role reports directly to the General Manager and plays a critical part in ensuring exceptional execution of service standards, staff performance, and guest experience throughout the season.
This position is ideal for a leader who enjoys being present on the floor, coaching teams in real time, and maintaining consistency during high-volume operations.
What to Expect
This role requires energy, visibility, and a hands-on approach to leadership. You will spend the majority of your time actively managing service, supporting the team, and ensuring that every guest interaction reflects the standards of Mobyโs.
You will work closely with the General Manager, fellow managers, culinary leadership, and guest relations teams to ensure smooth operations across all service periods.

Key Responsibilities
โข Lead daily floor operations during lunch, dinner, and special events
โข Manage and support hosts, servers, bartenders, support staff, and supervisors
โข Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate operational priorities
โข Monitor service flow and adjust staffing and floor plans as needed
โข Ensure all guest interactions meet Mobyโs hospitality standards
โข Resolve guest concerns professionally and effectively
โข Train, coach, and develop front-of-house employees
โข Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management initiatives
โข Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout the property
โข Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operating procedures
โข Partner with culinary and bar teams to ensure smooth communication and execution
โข Assist with scheduling, labor management, and payroll review
โข Support private events and large party execution as needed
โข Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture
Qualifications
โข 2+ years in a Restaurant Manager, Assistant General Manager, or similar leadership role
โข Experience in high-volume restaurants preferred
โข Strong understanding of hospitality and guest service standards
โข Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in fast-paced environments
โข Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
โข Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
โข Experience with scheduling, labor management, and staff development
โข Familiarity with Toast and standard restaurant management systems preferred
โข Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
