Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for piece flow from receipt of raw materials until shipping of finished goods guaranteeing a high level of inventory accuracy.
The main missions of the role are:
  • Provide direction to personnel engaged in inventory management (receiving, material handling and shipping)
  • Ensuring the accurate receiving of components from suppliers utilizing principles outlined in Faurecia's 7 Inventory Basics including timely reception of goods
  • Properly storing raw components in their designated area utilizing visual management tools to proactively communicate potential part shortages to material planning team
  • Participate in Engineering Change Meetings and implement First in First Out (FIFO) in warehouse to minimize impact of obsolescence material do to product changes
  • Develop and execute manufacturing and finished goods delivery schedules in accordance with customer requirements
  • Prepares standard work instructions/procedures detailing the material management and logistics process.
  • Oversees all activities related to material management of a product, from component receipt through delivery of a completed unit.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Responsible for the mobilization and development of employees to optimize their performance and growth.
  • Define measurable indicators to track performance and drive improvement.
  • Identifies and leads continual improvement events.
  • Provide timely communication with the Plant Management Team on issues impacting performance.
  • Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principals in Production Control and Logistics activities.
  • Develop Employee Empowerment Fundamentals on shop floor, encouraging bottom up communication and operator driven improvement activities.
  • Participate in activities utilizing Quick Response and Continuous Improvement (QRCI) tool to reduce and eliminate Missed deliveries per Million (MPM).
  • Maintain expected level of 5's in all areas

Your profile and competencies to succeed
Minimum education level: Bachelor's degree
Experience:
  • Experience leading a logistics team and proven ability to implement lean manufacturing principals into daily routine to drive continuous improvement.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Proven ability to manage inventory levels providing appropriate levels of raw material to support production while maximizing inventory turns.
  • Proven ability to align activities of both salaried and hourly employees to meet business financial objectivities.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English
