Position Overview
Join our team as a Technician Supervisor who performs the duties of medical technical staff (e.g., technicians and assistants) as well as scheduling and supervising the staff of the assigned department. Expedites the care and efficiency of the department. In charge of patient care standards for the department. Must lead the team by example, demonstrating organizational skills, following company policies, and maintaining a professional attitude.

The hospital's collaborative model works in direct partnership with referring primary care veterinarians, offering advanced services including surgery, radiology, endoscopy, and blood transfusions in a team-driven, high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain processes for effective medical record keeping and billing
  • Collect and process work charts
  • Assist with entering in-patient charges and/or procedures performed in billing system
  • Ensure invoices are sent monthly and as requested by clients and doctors
  • Process payments and monthly statements
  • Resolve escalated financial problems with clients, collecting delinquent accounts and "NSF'" checks; determines when special financial agreements are appropriate
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting on accounts receivable
  • Prepare, print and mail invoice or statement copies for customers as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Be dependable and punctual

Qualifications (Required)
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
  • High School Diploma or the equivalent.
  • Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT/LVT/CVT) license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in an emergency and/or specialty hospital.
  • Previous supervisory, lead technician, or management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of emergency medicine, anesthesia, surgery, triage, and critical care nursing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop veterinary nursing staff.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and client service skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize workflow and make sound decisions in a fast-paced emergency environment.
  • Experience with staff scheduling, performance coaching, and accountability.
  • Proficiency with veterinary practice management software and electronic medical records.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive team culture, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call leadership responsibilities as needed.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Current CPR/RECOVER certification preferred; commitment to continuing education and professional development required.

Schedule:
  • 3:30PM-12:00AM, Tuesday to Saturday.
  • Must be flexible with schedule.
  • Emergency hospitals operate 24 hours, 7 days-a-week.

Pay Range
$32-$35 USD
