Mobility Solutions Engineer

Position Summary:

The Mobility Solutions Engineer (MSE) designs, implements, tests, and documents enterprise mobility solutions across hardware, software, networks, security, and back-end integrations. This customer-facing professional services role ensures solutions are scalable, reliable, and cost-effective while providing advanced technical support and continuous improvement. The MSE also serves as a technical expert for clients, vendors, and partners through business reviews, webinars, and technical presentations.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Engineer mobility solutions and provide supporting technical documentation in a mobility environment
  • Consult, develop and document device prototype builds for customer testing and technology pilot support
  • Facilitate technology meetings with customers and internal staffDevelop and document efficient and accurate mobility staging and service processes
  • Provide technical guidance and training to Stratix sales and technical staff on mobility devices and services
  • Maintain a high level of expertise in contemporary mobile technology solutions
  • Serve as technical liaison to vendors for products and customer support Issues
  • Maintain expertise in multiple technology disciplines by continued technical and product training on Stratix applicable technologies and provide clear communication of relevant information (white papers, presentations, Subject Matter Expert assignments, etc.)
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, or a related technology field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of enterprise IT experience, including at least 5 years in enterprise mobility solutions.
  • Strong experience with Apple iOS, Google Android, and Windows operating systems, including Apple and Samsung mobile devices.
  • Hands-on experience with UEM/EMM/MDM platforms, such as Workspace ONE (AirWatch), JAMF, Microsoft Intune, or SOTI MobiControl.
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile solution architecture, mobile equipment design, and wired/wireless IP networking (WLAN/WWAN).
  • Excellent technical communication and documentation skills, with the ability to define project scope and communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and project execution skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively while meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations.
  • Self‑motivated and customer‑focused, with the ability to travel up to 25% and build effective relationships across all organizational levels.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Deep familiarity or certifications with a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform in the enterprise (e.g., Workspace One (AirWatch), Jamf, Intune, SOTI MobiControl, etc.)
  • Mobile device security experience is desirable, or any security certification
  • Familiar with rugged mobile computing and data terminals; current Zebra and Honeywell product knowledge
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and SaaS models
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or other point-of-transaction data collection and barcoding systems is a plus
