Mobile jobs, also called telecommuting jobs, are career opportunities that allow employees to work remotely rather than in traditional office settings. The duties of mobile jobs depend on the specific company and industry of the position. However, the responsibilities of all mobile workers overlap in many ways. No matter what industry you work in, you must have access to web-enabled mobile devices, such as a laptop computer and cell phone, and a reliable internet connection. You also need excellent communication skills; since you are not in the office, regularly coordinating with your boss and colleagues will enable you to complete tasks efficiently.

What are some common challenges faced by mobile developers when working on cross-platform applications?

Mobile developers working on cross-platform applications often encounter challenges such as ensuring consistent user experience across different devices and operating systems, managing performance optimization, and dealing with platform-specific limitations or bugs. Collaboration with designers and backend teams is crucial to address UI/UX discrepancies and integrate APIs efficiently. Staying updated with the latest framework updates and device releases is also important, as the mobile landscape evolves rapidly.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a mobile developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Mobile Developer, you need strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, or Flutter, along with a solid understanding of mobile application architecture and platform guidelines. Familiarity with development tools like Android Studio, Xcode, version control systems (Git), and sometimes certifications in mobile development are highly beneficial. Problem-solving, creativity, and effective communication are key soft skills that help in building user-friendly, high-quality apps and collaborating with cross-functional teams. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering reliable, innovative mobile solutions that meet user and business needs in a rapidly evolving field.

We're looking for outgoing, motivated Retail Mobile Sales Associates to join our team. No wireless experience? No problem - we train you from day one.

Apply online or drop off your resume at one of our locations!

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Mobile Sales Associate, you'll be the face of 2020 Mobile Corp (Boost Mobile Retailer) in our store - helping customers find the right plans, phones, and accessories to match their lives. We believe a positive attitude, teamwork, and a little fun make the workday better-for us and for our customers.

You'll:

  • Create awesome customer experiences with a friendly, service-first approach
  • Talk tech, explain plans, and recommend solutions that make sense
  • Help bring in new customers and build relationships with returning ones
  • Stay up to date on phones, pricing, and promotions (and upsell when it fits!)
  • Answer store phone calls and customer questions
  • Work toward daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals
  • Participate in local marketing and special events
  • Keep the store clean, organized, and ready for business
  • Use sales systems and follow company policies
  • Collaborate with teammates and managers
  • Jump in on additional tasks or projects as needed

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • A positive, professional, can-do attitude
  • The ability to multitask, problem-solve, and stay organized
  • Previous experience in wireless or retail sales (a plus, not required!)

What You'll Need:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • 6+ months of customer service and/or retail sales experience
  • Basic experience using computers and mobile phones
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Spanish bilingual skills preferred in some locations

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods on the sales floor
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
  • Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, and use of hands/fingers
  • Occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions (including overhead reaching and typing)

    Compensation:

$12.50 - $13.00 per hour DOE. The base pay does not factor in an aggressive commission program when goals and objectives are met. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

    • Health Benefits: The company offers Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance programs for Full-Time employees.
    • Employee Discounts: Phone devices and Accessories
