Role - Mobile Phlebotomist

Location - Virginia/ Maryland

Shift Days - Monday - Friday

All day availability is required.

Job Summary:

The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood and other specimen samples from patients in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.

This role involves traveling to various facilities or patient homes to provide mobile phlebotomy services, ensuring that samples are collected in compliance with all relevant guidelines and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample Collection: Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures efficiently and with minimal discomfort to patients.
  • Patient Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor to reassure patients and answer their questions.
  • Specimen Handling: Properly label, store, and transport specimens to the laboratory, ensuring integrity and viability are maintained throughout the process.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols, infection control standards, and legal requirements, including maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain all required documentation, including patient records and logs, ensuring all details are recorded correctly.
  • Equipment: Maintain phlebotomy equipment, ensuring it is clean, sanitized, and in good working order at all times.
  • Travel: Travel to various facilities or patient homes as required, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
