Responsibilities

  • Maintain production machines and facility equipment.
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust equipment.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and foundry facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report issues or unusual situations to proper Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Adheres to training program and any relevant training through the Operations Trainer.
  • Other responsibilities as dictated by the Maintenance Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of five (5) years maintenance experience in the following trades:ย 
  • Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical, Mechanical, and/or PLCsย 
  • Technical knowledge of equipment/machine processes.ย 
  • Ability to work OT, off-shifts, & weekendsย 
  • Combustion processes, burners, valve trains, temperature controllersย 
  • Welding and fabricatingย 
  • Refractory and furnace lining.ย 
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic, machine controls, welding, PLC's & electricalย 
  • Basic computer entry skillsย 
  • Health and Safety Standards and Complianceย 
  • Process Improvement Techniquesย 
  • Electrical and electronic controls; troubleshooting and/or programmingย 
  • Mobile equipment including forklifts, wheel loadersย 
  • Material handling, conveyorsย 
  • Ventilation systems with 50-250 HP motor Bag houses (dust collectors)ย 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.ย 
  • Strengths in teamwork, organization, communication, and efficiency.ย 

The pay scale for this position is $35.66. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic locations, skills, education, and/or experience.
