Job Description

Senior QA Analyst Overview The Senior QA Analyst is a hands-on functional QA role responsible for designing, executing and documenting tests for web and mobile applications. This person partners closely with business analysts and development teams to ensure product quality, mentors junior analysts, and helps drive testing strategy including functional, nonfunctional and automated testing where applicable.

Responsibilities
  • Report to the QA Lead and take ownership of assigned QA tasks and deliverables.
  • Analyze requirements, use cases and business rules to create and maintain test plans, test cases and test scripts.
  • Execute manual and mobile tests; perform functional testing and support nonfunctional and automated testing efforts.
  • Log, triage and track defects using bug-tracking tools; work with developers and stakeholders to resolve critical issues.
  • Maintain and update QA documentation and generate project QA/status reports.
  • Participate in estimations and planning for QA effort (LOE).
  • Mentor and coach junior/functional analysts; run knowledgesharing sessions and workshops.
  • Promote a qualityfocused culture and suggest process improvements.
  • Multitask effectively and collaborate with onshore/offshore teams.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Software Engineering/CS/Web Development or equivalent.
  • 5+ years QA experience with strong functional testing background.
  • Familiar with SDLC/web Dev methodologies; experienced working with BAs and developers.
  • Strong frontend (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery) and backend (Java/.NET/PHP) knowledge.
  • Basic mobile (iOS/Android) testing experience.
  • Test case design/execution; familiar with test management tools (SpiraTest, TestLink, Quality Center).
  • Proficient with defect/project trackers (JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Familiar with automated and nonfunctional testing (performance/load).
  • API testing (Postman) and ISTQB Foundation certification is an advantage.
  • Analytical, detailoriented, proactive; excellent communicator and team player.
  • Selfdirected learner, mentor-capable, resilient under pressure.
  • English and French proficiency required.
