Job description

Farm Worker – Regenerative Agriculture

Fili-West Farms is looking for a reliable team member to join our mission in Vance, SC. We offer a unique level of shift flexibility (full-time or part-time) and are happy to vary hours to accommodate your personal schedule and the changing seasons. If you are looking for a meaningful role where you can be part of a small, passionate team transitioning to a holistic Regenerative Agriculture production model, we want to hear from you!

Primary Job Duties:

  • Egg Collection: Gathering eggs from conveyor belts inside our nine Mobile Chicken Shelters (Google "Chicken Caravan 450").
  • Egg Processing: Washing, weighing, and packing eggs. This includes operating the Egg Processing Machine and the Egg Grader, as well as washing any heavily soiled eggs by hand.

Grow With Us (Bonus Duties & Pay Increases): We are looking for someone eager to learn the full scope of our operations. The ability to perform the following field work will lead to an increased hourly wage:

  • Feeding chickens and moving shelters to fresh grass.
  • Setting up chicken netting and cleaning nest boxes.
  • Cutting grass and general farm maintenance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Resilience: Though most work is performed under cover, you must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
  • Physical Strength: Must be able to lift 30 lbs regularly (a full crate of eggs) and 50 lbs occasionally (chicken feed).
  • Reliability: Because we are a small team, showing up for your scheduled shifts on time is critical to our success.

Hours: Typically 8am–4pm, but we are flexible! More hours are always available for those eager to learn, and part-time arrangements are available for the right candidate.

Company Description

Fili-West Farms is a small, veteran-owned family farm specializing in Pasture-Raised Poultry. We're mostly known for our Pasture-Raised Eggs. We produce 2,000 dz/week, selling them to 40+ restaurants and retail locations all around the Lowcountry. Though on a smaller scale, we also produce Pasture-Raised Turkey and Chicken. All of the above are produced using the most innovative and efficient farm equipment we can source from all around the World. This modern technology helps us do more with less people/effort.
We're also working to improve both our soil and the lives of the animals who live on it by using regenerative agricultural practices. We plan to eventually diversify the farm further by adding Sheep into our pasture rotation. This addition will help us to improve our soil, small water cycle, carbon sequestration, farm sales, and MUCH more!
But first, we need to expand our small team of motivated farm hands to help us take these next steps. Might YOU be one such individual?
