Special Event Response Team Officer - Major Special Event

Position Summary
Treston Security Services is hiring experienced and highly dependable Special Event Response Team Officers to provide mobile security support during a major special event in Anaheim, California.
Response Team Officers will respond to security calls, reinforce fixed posts, support supervisors, patrol designated areas, and assist with changing operational needs. This assignment requires strong situational awareness, professional communication, physical mobility, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm during active incidents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Remain mobile and available for rapid deployment throughout the assigned shift.
  • Respond promptly to requests for security assistance.
  • Reinforce officers assigned to entrances, event halls, restricted areas, and other posts.
  • Assist with disturbances, unauthorized access, crowd concerns, lost-person reports, and guest-related incidents.
  • Support the initial response to medical calls, emergencies, alarms, and evacuations.
  • Provide temporary post coverage when authorized by supervision.
  • Conduct visible patrols throughout assigned response zones.
  • Assist with line management, crowd movement, and congestion concerns.
  • Help establish safe perimeters and maintain incident-scene control.
  • Use professional communication and approved de-escalation techniques.
  • Escort individuals from restricted or event areas when authorized and directed.
  • Preserve incident scenes and protect sensitive locations until relieved.
  • Maintain continuous radio communication with dispatch and supervision.
  • Provide clear and accurate status updates.
  • Follow the established chain of command.
  • Complete incident reports and response-team activity logs.
  • Support emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place procedures.
  • Carry out additional security assignments based on changing event conditions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid and current California BSIS Guard Card.
  • Previous event-security, mobile-patrol, response-team, venue-security, military, law-enforcement, or emergency-response experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong situational awareness, judgment, and observation skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly throughout a large event venue.
  • Strong verbal, written, and radio communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm during stressful, active, or rapidly changing incidents.
  • Knowledge of conflict de-escalation and incident-scene control is preferred.
  • Must be physically capable of walking and standing for extended periods.
  • Must be available for assigned shifts between September 3 and September 16, 2026.

Work Schedule and Conditions
  • Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and extended shifts may be available.
  • Response Team Officers should expect frequent walking and movement.
  • Assignments may involve indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Officers may work around large crowds, bright lighting, amplified sound, and production equipment.
  • Response zones and duties may change based on operational needs.
