Job description

Medical Resource Control Center (MRCC) RN

Regions is seeking an experienced RN to join our MRCC in a part time (.9 Nights), benefit eligible position.

The access center RN will be the initial contact for all HealthPartners Direct (HPD) admissions, transfers, and consultations, coordinating provider-provider hand-offs. Access center RN's will interact frequently with HealthPartners providers from clinics and hospitals as well as providers from external organizations seeking services for admission, ED-ED transfer, or specialty consultation. The RNs at HealthPartners Direct access center are responsible for triage of all HPD patients to ensure a proper physician connection and partnering with the Medical Resource Control Center (MRCC) staff as the initial point of contact for critical admissions such as Cath Lab Activations or Acute Stroke admissions.

Work Schedule:

0.9 (72 hours per 2 weeks); every other weekend

11:00pm-7:30am

RN Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • 2-5 years of recent clinical experience as an RN in a hospital setting or new grad RN with recent 2+ years as a paramedic responding to 911 calls
  • Current RN licensure in State of Minnesota
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.

RN Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's in related field.
  • 5 years of recent clinical experience as an RN in hospital setting; Charge nurse experience preferred.
  • 2-5 years recent patient placement experience
