Position Overview

We are seeking a Plumbing Designer / Engineer to join our technically-driven team in either our Maitland or Fort Myers office. In this role, you are not just a CAD technician; you are a systems architect responsible for the full-cycle design and coordination of complex plumbing infrastructures. Core Responsibilities

• Systems Architecture: Engineer and develop comprehensive plumbing systems for high-stakes environments, including sanitary/vent, domestic water, storm drainage, grease waste, and specialty compressed air/gas systems.

• BIM Leadership: Execute and coordinate sophisticated construction documents within a Revit BIM environment, ensuring seamless integration with mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines.

• Technical Engineering: Perform precise system sizing, equipment selection, and layout calculations in strict accordance with local, state, and national plumbing codes.

• Lifecycle Stewardship: Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from conducting site investigations and code research to reviewing shop drawings and troubleshooting field issues with buildable solutions.

• Collaborative Integration: Interface directly with project stakeholders, architects, and government agencies to navigate permitting and approvals, ensuring the firm's standards of excellence are maintained.

• Field Innovation: Participate in active site visits and construction administration, providing real-time technical guidance to contractors and clients to ensure design intent is realized.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required for salaried engineer track) or equivalent technical design experience.

• Experience: 2+ years of dedicated plumbing design experience specifically within an MEP consulting firm environment.

• Software Proficiency: Advanced command of Revit (required) and proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of building plumbing codes, system sizing principles, and the nuances of commercial/institutional building systems.

• Location: Commitment to working 100% in-office in either Maitland, FL or Fort Myers, FL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensure: Active EIT or PE license (or a clear path toward licensure).

• Sector Expertise: Specialized experience in healthcare (AHCA) or complex K-12/Higher Education projects.

• Seniority: Candidates with 5–10+ years of experience are highly encouraged to apply for mid-to-senior level leadership consideration.
