Job Title: Master Plumber - Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester - Location: Detroit Metro Area
Wintegrity is searching for a skilled and licensed Master Plumber and Certified Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and replacing commercial backflow prevention assemblies while ensuring compliance with all applicable plumbing codes and local regulations. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.
KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Expertise in commercial backflow prevention assembly testing, repair, and replacement.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of Michigan plumbing codes, local regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform annual testing of commercial backflow prevention assemblies.
  • Diagnose failed backflow preventers and determine the appropriate repair or replacement solution.
  • Repair, rebuild, and maintain backflow prevention assemblies.
  • Replace backflow preventers when repairs are not practical or cost-effective.
  • Complete electronic test reports and submit all required documentation to municipalities and water authorities.
  • Coordinate testing schedules and repairs with customers while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain testing equipment, inventory, tools, and company vehicle.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable plumbing codes, local regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current Michigan Master Plumber License.
  • Current Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification (ASSE 5110 or equivalent as required by local jurisdictions).
  • Experience testing, repairing, rebuilding, and replacing commercial backflow prevention assemblies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience using tablets or mobile devices for digital reporting is preferred.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or vocational training in plumbing preferred.

CERTIFICATION:

  • Current Michigan Master Plumber License (Required)
  • Current Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification (ASSE 5110 or equivalent) (Required)
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
