POSITION INFORMATION
Our technicians are responsible for providing superb customer service by diagnosing, visual inspections, removal of parts and attachments, warranty repairs, performing preventative maintenance services, repairing lights and wiring, welding, cutting and other repairs.
This position reports to the Mobile Service Manager, is a 40 hour a week position and is eligible for overtime. For well-qualified, proven efficient applicants, we also offer a flat rate compensation plan. This position also qualifies for a monthly bonus incentive based on your upsales.
To qualify for a mobile technician position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must have three years of diesel truck service and computer diagnostics experience. Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are required. You must be able to operate power and hand tools and other equipment safely. You must be able to read and comprehend instructions and information, possess a valid driver's license, and have a driving record that meets our criteria. You will be required to obtain and maintain a DOT Driver Medical certification. Dressing professionally and being able to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts is a must.
The technician position is a physically demanding position. You will stand six to eight hours per shift. Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel. Will use hand and power tools. Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds several times during each shift. Will use hoist and test equipment. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
MANDATORY SMARTPHONE CAPABILITY
Employment in this position requires possession of a personal smartphone capable of downloading, installing, and reliably operating company-issued mobile applications. These applications are mandatory for completing safety inspections, reviewing coaching materials, monitoring driving performance, receiving critical notifications, and accessing other required safety resources.
Our payroll and attendance processes also operate through a mobile application. All employees must clock in and out using this system as part of standard timekeeping procedures.
