Job Overview & Essential Functions
Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Service Technician - Mobile Refrigeration. The role of the Service Technician - Mobile Refrigeration is responsible performs mobile mechanical repair at customer locations, receiving on the job training in development program to achieve Service Technician status.
  • Performs preventative, contract and scheduled maintenance on customer equipment utilizing a mobile service vehicle.
  • Able to repair basic refrigeration, fuel systems, electrical systems, microprocessors, cooling systems and general maintenance.
  • Promotes and sells mobile service to potential customers.
  • Performs trouble shooting on unit problems.
  • Attends training sessions and meetings.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
  • Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Requires good working knowledge of Carrier and Thermo King unit operations.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to manage his/her own time.
  • Requires ability to effectively communicate with customers relative to mobile service.
