Position Overview

Active Health & Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time position within our remote detox center in Corpus Christi, Texas. As an LCSW, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality mental health care for individuals battling substance use disorders, contributing to their recovery and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments including psychosocial evaluations and risk assessments, enabling a comprehensive understanding of each patient’s unique challenges.
  • Develop customized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, addressing their individual needs and incorporating cultural considerations.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) in various settings including individual, couple, family, and group therapy.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to patients experiencing acute distress, ensuring their safety and facilitating appropriate treatment pathways.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical documentation which includes progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, aligning with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, empowering them with skills and knowledge to actively participate in their care.
  • Regularly assess treatment outcomes and refine treatment strategies to maximize therapy effectiveness, thereby improving patient recovery processes.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and emerging trends in mental health and addiction treatment, integrating these insights into clinical practice.
  • Follow ethical guidelines rigorously, ensuring patient confidentiality is upheld at all times.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals who are navigating the complexities of substance use disorders and related mental health issues. This role requires sensitivity and understanding as you engage with patients from a variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, fostering an environment of trust and safety during their healing process.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is required.
  • Active State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
