Job description

Concessions Bartender - State Farm Arena/Levy Restaurants

Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour + tips.

Schedule: Part time event-based schedule. Must be able to work nights and weekends. 

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years' experience working in a similar setting. The candidate should have an outgoing personalitiy and the ability to interact with high profile guests and remain professional and dedicated to providing exceptional experience. They have the ability to communicate effectively, problem solve and make decisions with little guidance. 

Qualifications

  • Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven bartending exerience in a fast-paced enviornment. 
  • Conflict resolutions and de-esclation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and create a welcoming atmospher for guests.
  • Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods of time throughout the day.
  • Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
Job Summary

Summary:  The Concessions Bartender is responsible for having excellent communication skills with the ability to serve cocktails to guest. The Bartender will greet customers, answer questions and recommend various menu items. The Bartender is also responsible for keeping the bar area clean for the guests. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Count the bar by verifying the amounts provided on the stand sheet.
  • Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
  • Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
  • Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
  • Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control.
  • Checks guests at the bar for proper identification.
  • Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
  • Attempt to limit problems/liability by taking steps such as encouraging customers to stop drinking or take safe methods of transportation from event.
  • Complete Alcohol Incident Log whenever service is denied to a guest.
  • Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
  • Washes and sterilizes stemware.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
