What You'll Do
No two shifts are exactly the same, but here's what you can expect:
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their needs whenever you interact with them in the store
- Transport totes from the command center to the pickup lane accurately and efficiently
- Place gathered orders in storage at the proper temperature and retrieve them promptly prior to the customer's arrival
- Ensure products maintain proper temperature throughout the entire fulfillment process
- Gather and stage orders in the holding area for customer pickup
- Support the curbside team by completing a variety of tasks as directed by Aisles Online Service Managers and above
- Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all department and company guidelines
- Pitch in with other tasks or special projects as they come up
Your Skills
To be successful in this role, you'll need to be able to:
- Bring commitment to Hy-Vee's mission and a genuine passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and store personnel in a friendly, approachable manner
- Identify problems and develop practical solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Interact comfortably with basic computer systems and mobile device technology, including troubleshooting as needed
- Stay organized and work efficiently to meet deadlines and support the team

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proficient usage of mobile device technology and basic technology troubleshooting preferred
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand and walk throughout a shift in sales, food service, or delivery areas
- Where applicable to the role: ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
- Where applicable to the role: exposure to heat- and burn-related hazards associated with cooking, baking, or grilling equipment
- Where applicable to the role: ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards
- Perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties
