Mobile Engineer - React Native

This role must be performed at our client site in St Louis, MO, however a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Build and maintain cross platform mobile apps using React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
. Lead mobile architecture for scalability, performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
. Define coding standards, reusable patterns, shared libraries, and engineering best practices.
. Optimize app startup time, memory usage, rendering, network performance, bundle size, and offline behavior.
. Integrate REST APIs, GraphQL, Firebase, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and third party SDKs.
. Build offline first features, including local storage, caching, sync, background processing, and conflict resolution.
. Develop native Android or iOS modules when required.
. Collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, security, and business teams.
. Drive decisions on state management, testing, CI/CD, release processes, and mobile tooling.
. Lead app releases, App Store and Play Store readiness, phased rollouts, and production monitoring.
. Troubleshoot complex production issues related to crashes, performance, authentication, sync, and devices.
. Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, and technical guidance.
. Identify technical debt, platform risks, and opportunities for modernization.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 10+ years of software engineering or mobile development experience.
. 5+ years of React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript experience.
. Strong knowledge of React Native architecture, hooks, navigation, rendering, native modules, and state management.
. Strong mobile architecture experience, including modular design, reusable components, and scalable code organization.
. Experience with performance tuning, debugging, profiling, memory optimization, and crash analysis.
. Experience building offline first apps with local databases, secure storage, caching, sync, and background processing.
. Experience integrating APIs, GraphQL, Firebase, analytics, crash reporting, and mobile SDKs.
. Native Android experience with Kotlin/Java or native iOS experience with Swift/Objective C.
. Knowledge of App Store and Play Store deployment, signing, certificates, provisioning, versioning, and rollouts.
. Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Fastlane, or Jenkins.
. Strong understanding of mobile security, testing frameworks, observability, logging, and production monitoring.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $176,300.00.
