iQuasar LLC has an exciting opportunity for a LMR Technician to join our growing team.  As an LMR Technician, you keep a safety-of-life public radio network on the air for federal law enforcement and first responders. You install, program, troubleshoot, and repair Motorola, Bendix King, and Icom radios across dispatch centers, vehicles, and repeater sites, back up a 24/7/365 help desk with hands-on field remediation, and deploy on short notice for emergency response across the continental United States 
We are seeking a LMR Technician for a contract position.

  • Position Type: Full-time
  • Location: Denver, CO
Role Specific Duties/ Role Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, program, and repair LMR equipment (Motorola, Bendix King, Icom) across portable, mobile, base-station, and repeater systems
  • Perform installs and de-installs of radio equipment in vehicles, dispatch centers, and repeater/tower sites
  • Resolve Tier II and Tier III trouble tickets within contract SLAs and escalate when required
  • Support the 24/7/365 help desk with field remediation and expert hotline backup
  • Program and load government code plugs and fleet maps (frequency profiles, talk groups) securely and as directed
  • Complete final installation inspection, system integration testing, and network/terminal programming to 100% acceptance
  • Deploy on short notice for emergency response, temporary repeaters/BDAs, and preplanned event support
  • Document work performed, time, materials, and travel on standard quality audit and reporting forms
  • Ensure all work complies with Motorola R56 standards and OSHA/ANSI safety requirements
Requirements:
  • Manufacturer-certified to troubleshoot and repair Motorola, Bendix King, and Icom radios
  • Working knowledge of P25 and conventional/trunked LMR systems
  • Proficiency with radio programming software and RF test equipment (spectrum analyzer, watt meter, antenna sweep gear such as Anritsu)
  • Ability to read and interpret fleet maps, frequency plans, and system block diagrams
  • Willing to travel for field and emergency deployments across CONUS, including remote sites
  • Valid driver's license; able to lift equipment and work safely at tower/site locations
  • Able to obtain and maintain a favorable federal background investigation
Education and Expertise:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/associate degree in electronics or telecommunications preferred
  • 3+ years hands-on LMR installation, maintenance, and repair experience
  • FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) preferred
  • Motorola R56 training/certification preferred
  • Prior federal, public-safety, or Indian Country field experience a plus
