Job description

Part-Time DAI Operator

The NFL Digital Media Team is seeking an individual passionate about professional sports to assist with Digital Ad Insertion for live football games. The Digital Ad Insertion Operator (DAI) is responsible for monitoring a live game and events feed from start to finish and inserting ad cues during commercial breaks. Candidates will be working in a live video distribution environment, and punctuality is of the essence.

The role includes opportunities to both insert breaks and to monitor performance of ad delivery using a variety of visual and data reporting sources. The team's focus is on continuous improvement in their ability to understand and measure the overall effectiveness of the ad delivery system, through evolving tools, processes and capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor live game and program video for commercial breaks and compare source video feed to digital distribution.
  • Perform as either a primary operator or as a backup.
  • Monitor listen-only lines for commercial break instructions.
  • Follow ad break program guides, calculate break durations and break insertion points.
  • Report any issues to supervisor.
  • As directed, monitor and generate ad delivery performance metrics and provide immediate notification of any delivery anomalies detected.
  • Perform application and system testing of ad delivery as directed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have high school diploma; GED or equivalency (Some college, no degree required)
  • Proven experience working with computers in an office environment.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, PP, Outlook) in PC or MAC
  • Working knowledge of email, slack and web browsers in PC or MAC
  • Proficiency with a variety of mobile (iOS, Android) and Connected TV Devices (FireTV/AppleTV/Roku/AppleTV) as used in a testing or development environment.
  • Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented with the ability to follow through on multi-step instructions.
  • General availability for Sunday and other peak event Game Days during the NFL Football season – refer to nfl.com/schedule for specific dates.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a remote position
  • Up to 7 months of employment based on business needs
  • Part-time - Must be available for 4 hour (min) to 8 hour (max) shifts on NFL Gamedays (Monday, Thursday, Sunday) and holidays where schedule applies (Thanksgiving, etc.)
