Job Description:
Job Summary:
A QA Manual Tester is responsible for ensuring software quality by manually testing applications, identifying defects, documenting issues, and verifying that products meet business and technical requirements before release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze business and functional requirements.
- Create and execute manual test cases and test scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers.
- Prepare test reports and maintain testing documentation.
- Ensure software meets quality standards before deployment.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of manual testing techniques and testing methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to write clear and effective test cases.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and APIs is an advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor''''''''''''''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manual software testing (depending on role level).
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
