Job description

Job Title: Systems Administrator
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Director of IT / Information Security Officer
SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated IT Systems Administrator to lead the management and maintenance of our dynamic IT infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, security, and peak performance of our on-premises and cloud-based services. Your responsibilities will include hands-on administration of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VMware and SAN storage, as well as automation through PowerShell scripting. The ideal candidate is a security-focused collaborator who can balance day-to-day operations with forward-thinking improvements, problem solving, adaptability, ensuring compliance and an exceptional end-user experience across Seahawks organization and Lumen Field Stadium.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, Microsoft 365 services, Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, storage and virtualization platforms
  • Manage Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID and related cloud services
  • Maintain and support VMware and/or Hyper-V environments, including virtual machine lifecycle management, capacity planning, performance monitoring, upgrades, patching and high-availability configurations
  • Administer enterprise storage solutions and SAN technologies, including replication and disaster recovery processes
  • Monitor system health, infrastructure performance, event logs and resource utilization to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
  • Perform system administration tasks for Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure services, certificate management and core network services
  • Ensure operating systems, applications, firmware and infrastructure components remain current through regular patching, upgrades and maintenance activities
  • Manage endpoint deployment, configuration and security using Intune, Autopilot, Entra device join and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
  • Deploy and support identity and access management solutions, including multi-factor authentication platforms such as Duo, Okta and Delinea
  • Partner with the Information Security team to implement security best practices, maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements and remediate vulnerabilities identified through scans, assessments, and penetration testing
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and exceptional customer service for end users, including troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Windows, mobile devices and enterprise applications
  • Improve operational efficiency by identifying recurring issues and implementing sustainable solutions through automation, process improvements and documentation
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, system diagrams, asset inventories, recovery procedures, operational runbooks and support knowledge bases
  • Communicate technical concepts, risks and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support critical business operations, including after-hours maintenance, upgrades, incident response, game-day operations, stadium events and other organizational activities as required
  • Travel as needed for training, conferences, meetings, and organizational events
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Information Technology
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in systems administration, infrastructure management and enterprise IT operations
  • 4+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 services in an enterprise, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft 365 licensing
  • 3+ years of experience managing SharePoint Online permissions, governance, content administration and collaboration solutions
  • Strong experience administering Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and identity and access management solutions
  • Advanced experience managing endpoint and device administration using Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview
  • Proficiency in automation and reporting technologies, including PowerShell (on-premises and Microsoft 365), Power Automate and Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics/CRM administration, workflow automation and business application integrations
  • Experience integrating cloud and SaaS platforms through APIs, connectors and automated workflows
  • Hands-on experience administering virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V, including virtual machine deployment, lifecycle management, performance optimization and high-availability configurations
  • Experience administering cloud infrastructure platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Knowledge of enterprise identity and access management solutions, including Okta, Entra ID, single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Experience supporting enterprise technologies, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office applications, mobile devices and business-critical SaaS applications
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated capability to independently manage priorities and resolve complex technical issues
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written and verbal communication
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments while providing exceptional customer service and technical support
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator), VMware (e.g., VCP), Microsoft 365 (e.g., MS-102)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
