Role Overview

Trajan Wealth is building a proprietary, next-generation Mobile App platform to power how our advisors and clients interact. The mobile experience is central to that vision, currently delivered through a React Native frontend backed by a modern microservices architecture.

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Application Developer to design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile applications across iOS and Android and Web. You will own mobile features end to end, from architecture and implementation through testing, release, and ongoing performance, and work closely with product owners and backend engineersto ship a polished, reliable product.

This role would be 100% onsite at our Scottsdale corporate headquarters.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain performant mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native, with native work as needed.
  • Translate product requirements and UX designs into clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate GraphQL APIs and shared services.
  • Contributing to the full mobile lifecycle: architecture, implementation, code review, testing, app-store release, and post-release monitoring.
  • Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, offline behavior, and battery/memory efficiency.
  • Uphold security and data-handling standards appropriate to a regulated financial services environment.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement of mobile engineering practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
  • Demonstrated production experience across iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java).
  • Strong, hands-on experience with React Native, including apps you have personally shipped to the App Store and Google Play.
  • Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns, state management, and API integration.
  • Solid understanding of App Store Connect, Google Play Store, authentication, secure storage, analytics, crash reporting and accessibility.
  • Proficiency with version control (Git) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests and maintaining code quality in a team setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to own features independently end to end.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building applications in fintech, wealth management, or another regulated/security-sensitive domain.
  • Familiarity with microservices-based backends and working alongside distributed engineering teams.
  • Exposure to mobile security best practices (secure storage, authentication flows, data encryption in transit and at rest).
  • Experience with automated mobile testing frameworks and app performance monitoring tools. Benefits
