Job description

Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We currently perform janitorial building services, mechanical engineering, HVAC and maintenance services for numerous commercial, retail and residential properties on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island. 

The Mobile Workforce Tech 1 is responsible for performing standard janitorial and facility service tasks at assigned customer locations as part of HBM’s mobile workforce team. Technicians will travel with their assigned team to multiple worksites and complete scheduled cleaning tasks according to HBM service standards.

This role focuses on learning HBM cleaning procedures, maintaining consistent quality, and supporting the team in completing daily service routes.

The Mobile Workforce employees perform routine cleaning duties and are not responsible for operating specialized equipment or handling advanced cleaning chemicals until additional training is completed.

-Key Responsibilities

Routine Cleaning Services

· Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal

· Clean restrooms, break rooms, and common areas

· Maintain high-touch disinfection standards

· Follow task checklists and HBM cleaning procedures

-Team Operations

· Work as part of a mobile team servicing multiple locations

· Assist with routine cleaning tasks and equipment setup

· Maintain productivity and quality standards throughout the workday

-Reporting & Documentation

· Report supply shortages, access issues, or safety concerns to the team lead

· Follow instructions from the Technician Lead and Dispatch Manager

-Professional Conduct

· Represent HBM professionally at customer sites

· Maintain a clean appearance and respectful demeanor

· Follow all company safety policies

-Required Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Ability to follow procedures and instructions

· Reliable attendance and punctuality

· Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks

· Strong attention to detail

Driver’s license not required
