Job description

Overview
The Systems & Network Administrator is responsible for the hands-on technical ownership, maintenance, and improvement of Surf Internet's core enterprise platforms and network infrastructure. This role ensures systems are secure, compliant, and highly available, and serves as a senior technical escalation point for complex system and network issues. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong expertise across identity, endpoint management, security, and networking, along with the operational discipline to document, standardize, and continuously improve the environment.

Responsibilities:
Enterprise Systems & Platform Ownership
  • Support enterprise team members by maintaining, updating, and enhancing core systems, and by building new solutions that improve usability, adoption, and productivity across the organization
  • Administer and maintain enterprise platforms including Okta, Microsoft 365, Intune, NinjaOne, and Cloudflare ZTNA
  • Manage and maintain virtualized server infrastructure (VM server management), including provisioning, patching, and performance monitoring
  • Ensure systems are secure, compliant, and highly available
  • Manage endpoint lifecycle, including provisioning, compliance, and application delivery
  • Configure and maintain Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Mobile Device Management policies for iOS and Android devices
  • Support system integrations across platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce/Sitetracker, and call center tools
  • Monitor system health and proactively resolve issues before impact
  • Continuously evaluate and improve tooling, configuration, and architecture

Zero Trust & Security
  • Administer, maintain, train users on, and troubleshoot secure access frameworks including Cloudflare ZTNA
  • Enforce identity and access controls including MFA, conditional access, and device trust
  • Support log forwarding, monitoring, and SIEM integrations
  • Identify security risks and drive remediation
  • Partner with security stakeholders to strengthen overall posture

Network Administration
  • Maintain and support corporate office networks including switches, firewalls, routing, and wireless systems
  • Troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues
  • Ensure uptime, redundancy, and scalability of network infrastructure

Support & Collaboration
  • Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex user and system issues
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support when needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams on cross-functional projects
  • Support business initiatives requiring IT integration or enablement

Process & Documentation
  • Develop and maintain runbooks, onboarding guides, and operational procedures
  • Ensure consistent documentation across systems and workflows
  • Establish repeatable processes for efficiency and scalability
  • Enforce the principle: "If it is not documented, it is not complete"

Qualifications
Required:
  • 3+ years of systems and/or network administration experience
  • VM / virtual server management experience
  • Strong Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Intune administration experience
  • Cloudflare ZTNA experience, troubleshoot access issues
  • Mobile Application Management (MAM) setup and configuration experience
  • Experience with identity platforms such as Okta
  • Experience with endpoint management tools
  • Familiarity with SIEM and security operations

Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce / Sitetracker administration
  • Cloudflare ZTNA experience, troubleshoot access issues
  • Experience with system integrations (e.g., NetSuite, call center tools) Scripting or automation experience
