Job description

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Developer to create and support Android-based payment applications in Jacksonville, Florida. This position focuses on building dependable, secure mobile solutions that connect with payment devices and related hardware while delivering a strong user experience. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to develop production-ready software, resolve technical issues, and contribute to ongoing product improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Build, enhance, and maintain Android payment applications from initial development through testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Develop application functionality using Java and Kotlin within the Android ecosystem, incorporating specialized payment software libraries as needed.
• Connect mobile applications with payment-related hardware such as card readers, input devices, printers, scanners, and other supported peripherals.
• Partner with product, quality assurance, design, and engineering teams to deliver well-designed features and reliable releases.
• Investigate software issues, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes to improve stability and performance.
• Prepare and update technical documentation to support development, troubleshooting, and long-term maintenance.
• Apply best practices to ensure applications meet expectations for security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to timely delivery of high-quality software by supporting continuous improvement in performance and user experience.• At least 3 years of mobile or Android development experience, including hands-on work with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of the Android SDK and proficiency with Android Studio for building, testing, and debugging applications.
• Experience working with SQLite, REST APIs, and standard debugging techniques in mobile development environments.
• Ability to integrate software with external hardware or device-level components in a production setting.
