Job description

HI! I'm Dylan, one of the engineering managers at EnsoData and we are looking for another great teammate passionate about Making Healthcare Better. This hybrid position in Madison, WI offers a competitive salary of $135,000 to $145,000 along with bonus program, stock options and generous benefits, including paid time off.

The User Experience (UX) Designer is dedicated to improving customer and developer efficiency in our user interfaces through workflow and visual design. The person in this role will be responsible for understanding the needs of our users and translating these insights into well-designed workflow steps and user screens. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to create user-centered designs for our web and mobile applications. Your expertise will guide the design process from initial research and ideation through to wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct user research to identify user workflow needs.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with customers, product managers and developers to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
  • Perform usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines that ensure consistency across products.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to inform design strategies.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as graphic design, computer science, or marketing
  • Mobile app design
  • User Experience Design certification is a bonus
  • Healthcare technology experience is a bonus
  • Experience using AI tools in a design or product workflow is a bonus

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience as a User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar role, with on-the-job experience or formal education such as a UX design certificate or degree.
  • Portfolio showcasing several user experience projects and design solutions.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools used with React, React Native, and mobile apps, Figma, and the Material UI design library.
  • Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for close collaboration with developers.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Comfort using AI tools to support research, ideation, UX copy, and documentation in daily design work.
