Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform those duties necessary to repair or maintain mobile equipment.

  • Repair and rebuild mobile equipment engines and component parts.

  • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on our large offroad mobile mining equipment including pit loaders, yard loaders, haul trucks, excavators, mobile crushing and screening plants, service trucks, light duty vehicles, and other auxiliary vehicles used in our facilities.

  • Make minor repairs and adjustments, inspect and grease/lubricate mobile equipment.

  • Will perform other miscellaneous duties as may be requested.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the capability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mobile equipment

  • Ability to understand and follow technical instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety practices

  • Awareness of safe work habits while working around heavy machinery and moving equipment

  • Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in outdoor and indoor industrial environments

  • Adaptability, problemsolving skills, and a collaborative approach to supporting operational needs

  • Diesel Tech experience or education, industry experience working on "big yellow" iron (offroad construction or mining equipment)

Conditions of Employment

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check

  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
