Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the clinical team, supporting both Nurse Practitioners and Medical Assistants in delivering high-quality occupational health services to Mobile Health's clients. This role provides direct patient care including health screenings, vaccinations, and clinical intake, while also serving as a reliable team member who can step into a Medical Assistant role when needed. The LPN/RN helps ensure smooth clinic operations, promotes positive patient outcomes, and supports cross-functional collaboration within the care team.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a licensed nurse who thrives in a dynamic clinical setting, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care across a variety of services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist Nurse Practitioners and clinical staff with occupational health screenings, including audiograms, vision tests, vital signs, and pulmonary function tests.
• Safely and efficiently administer vaccines in accordance with established protocols and regulatory guidelines:
• Accurately prepare and administer vaccines as directed, following all clinical protocols, manufacturer instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Verify patient identity, eligibility, medical history, and consent prior to vaccination.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions post-vaccination and respond appropriately to emergencies or side effects.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory of vaccines in compliance with CDC and state/local health department requirements.
• Provide patient education regarding the vaccine, potential side effects, aftercare instructions, and follow-up schedules.
• Conduct Tuberculosis Screening assessments (RN only)
• Provide back-up coverage for Medical Assistants, including check-in, patient intake, specimen collection (blood/urine), and EMR documentation, when needed.
• Support patient flow by ensuring timely movement between check-in, examination, and check-out stages.
• Ensure proper documentation of all services provided, following Mobile Health and regulatory standards.
• Respond to patient inquiries in a professional, courteous manner; escalate complex concerns to NPs or supervisors as appropriate.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and all applicable state/federal regulations.
• Help foster a respectful, team-oriented clinic culture that aligns with Mobile Health's values.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
Experience & Education
• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program required.
• Active/unrestricted LPN or RN license in the State of New York required.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems required
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare or outpatient setting preferred
• Proficiency with standards computer applications (e.g.-Microsoft Office Suite)
• CPR Certification
• Experience in occupational health, urgent care, or ambulatory care a plus.
Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Locations available in Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Manhattan.
