Department of Medicine Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) - Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC)

GiaMed JV, a joint venture between MedTrust LLC and GiaCare Inc., is now hiring civilian RNs to work at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), serving our military heroes and their families.
As a GiaMed JV employee, you can expect:

Responsibilities
Full Time: Department of Medicine Clinic RN:
As a GiaMed employee, your duties and responsibilities will be the same as any other registered nurse on the same unit. Duties can include but are not limited to the following: team lead, precept, orientate, rapid response, and other tasks as needed.
This location, on Fort Sam Houston, is an Department of Medicine Clinic providing the highest level of care to active-duty military, veterans, and their beneficiaries.
The Department of Medicine (DOM) provides comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to adult patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings specialty areas. Improve access to specialty and primary care. Enhance continuum of care through partnership with Primary Care. Increase efficient and effective use of resources. Restructure health care delivery model to a patient-centered focus.
  • The Dept. of Medicine provides clinical consultation for any physician, military or civilian, for any eligible beneficiary needing care in the following areas:

Qualifications
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Valid Registered Nursing license from any US jurisdiction
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) and ( ACLS)from an American Heart Association Program
  • RN shall have a minimum of 2 years of full time experience as an RN in the
  • Medical/ Surgical, pulmonary, or critical care inpatient setting within the last 4 years. Minimum of one year experience in Post anesthesia/ sedation.
