This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. You'll help prepare food in our kitchen, transport food and equipment to event locations, and assist with on-site cooking and event execution.
About Edge Catering

We cater more than 300 weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, galas, and private parties each year, earning a reputation for exceptional food, outstanding service, and attention to detail. Our team works hard, supports one another, and takes pride in making every event a success.
Position Overview
As a Part-Time Catering Cook / Driver, you'll be an important part of our event team from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include preparing food, loading catering equipment, safely driving company vehicles to event locations, setting up mobile kitchens, and preparing or finishing menu items on-site.
Most shifts begin around 2:00 PM and end around 8:00 PM, although hours may vary depending on the event. Most events take place on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, making this a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare menu items according to company recipes and quality standards
  • Load food, beverages, equipment, and supplies for catered events
  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport food and equipment to and from event venues
  • Set up mobile kitchens, buffet lines, carving stations, or grilling stations
  • Cook, grill, carve, finish, or reheat food on-site as needed
  • Ensure food is served safely, attractively, and at the proper temperature
  • Assist with event setup, service, and breakdown
  • Work closely with chefs, banquet captains, servers, and event staff to ensure successful events
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Return equipment and supplies to the commissary after each event
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the catering operation
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess:
  • Previous cooking, restaurant, or catering experience preferred
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past five years

  • The ability to meet our insurance requirements to operate company vehicles
  • A current Food Handler Card (or the ability to obtain one before employment)
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly pay
  • Flexible part-time scheduling
  • A fun, supportive, family-oriented work environment
  • Opportunities to work at some of Southern Arizona's premier weddings, corporate events, and special occasions
  • On-the-job training and opportunities to learn new culinary and catering skills
  • Potential for additional hours and advancement opportunities as our company continues to grow
If you enjoy cooking, working with great people, and helping create unforgettable events, we'd love to hear from you!
