Opportunities available in the heart of Dallas

HHM Health is seeking a mission-driven PRN Pediatric Provider (Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant) to provide comprehensive pediatric primary care on Saturdays at HHM Health clinic locations and the Pediatric Mobile Clinic. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, and care coordinators, the PNP is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse and underserved populations. As one of our CARES-givers, you will help expand our impact on the community by providing access to high quality, compassionate care.

Work Schedule

PRN position providing Saturday coverage. Individual clinic sessions generally range from 4 to 6 hours depending on patient volume, outreach events, and operational needs. Additional PRN weekdays, Afterhours evenings, holidays, or special event opportunities may be available

  • HHM Health at Mesquite – 4550 Gus Thomasson Rd, Mesquite, TX 75150
  • Pediatric Health Specialists – 7200 State Hwy 161 #100, Irving, TX 75039
  • HHM Health Pediatric Mobile Clinic: Community outreach locations throughout the Dallas service area

Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do:

  • Provide comprehensive preventive, acute, and chronic pediatric care for patients from birth through 18 years of age.
  • Conduct well-child, newborn, sick, ADHD, asthma, sports, school, and camp physical examinations.
  • Follow established clinical guidelines andevidence-based protocols, including AAP and Texas Health Steps standards.
  • Administer immunizations and order, interpret, and review laboratory and diagnostic testsin accordance withCDC and ACIP recommendations.
  • Educate patients and families on growth and development, nutrition, disease prevention, and overall wellness.
  • Maintainaccurate,timelydocumentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Deliver pediatric services through the organization's mobile clinic byparticipatingin community outreach events, vaccinations, and preventive screenings.
  • Promote continuity of care by connecting patients and families with ongoing healthcare services through HHM Health and serving as a professional community representative.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, including UDS, HEDIS, PCMH, and value-based care programs, while adhering to organizational policies and clinical standards.

What you need to succeed

  • BSN and/or NP from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent; current RN or NP license to practice in the state of Texas
  • Advanced Practice Provider: Licensed PNP, FNP, or PA-C with preferred pediatric experience, active unrestricted Texas license, national certification
  • Registered and have current DEA, DPS and other such certificates to legally operate as a practitioner in the State of Texas or be able to obtain
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience
  • Excellent patient engagement and communication skills
  • Experience in community health centers and/or non-profits is preferred
  • Experience serving multicultural and multilingual patient populations
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar
  • MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Have a servant heart with the desire to make a positive impact
