Job description

Role Overview:
This role is for an L2 End User Computing (EUC) and Desktop Support Engineer responsible for providing comprehensive technical assistance and support to end-users. The position involves managing hardware, software, and asset lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption to user operations, and coordinating with various support teams and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve tickets requiring onsite support.
  • Coordinate with vendors, Level 3 support, Level 2 Backline, and Service Desk teams for efficient ticket resolution.
  • Schedule supported device installations and software/hardware activities with end-users to minimize disruption.
  • Participate in war rooms during major incidents.
  • Manage end-user service requests for desktop and mobile devices requiring local interaction.
  • Support end-user devices including Desktops, Laptops, Macs, Smartphones, Tablets, and printers.
  • Collect hardware as part of the user's leavers process.
  • Maintain the asset register for both hardware and software.
  • Alert customers in case of software licensing issues.
  • Manage non-standard interventions and software installations.
  • Oversee PC and other device logistics management.
  • Resolve break-fix incidents through direct intervention or by coordinating technical service with OEM vendors.
  • Perform Soft IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) and image loading where remote execution is not possible.
  • Deploy software and mobile applications on end-user devices.
  • Provide support for meeting rooms and conference room devices.
  • Support printers, laboratory, and manufacturing devices.
  • Offer support for organizational events.
  • Coordinate and provide support for customer 3rd party interactions.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.

Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in End User Computing (EUC) and Desktop Support at an L2 level.
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) processes for hardware and software.
  • Competence in asset management, including maintaining asset registers and managing logistics.
  • Ability to support a wide range of end-user devices (Desktops, Laptops, Macs, Smartphones, Tablets, printers).
  • Experience with software deployment and image loading.
  • Skills in remote troubleshooting and problem resolution.
