A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RECREATION ATTENDANT

As a Recreation Attendant, you spend your day being part of performing a variety of duties related to the operations of the front desk, to include cashiering responsibilities, greeting guests, registration, answering phones, answering guest questions and clerical duties. Work requires regular interaction involving exchange and receipt of information. Ensures customers receive excellent customer service by providing friendly, prompt service, greeting and acknowledging incoming customers and providing accurate program and facility information. Work involves daily contact with the public. You enjoy being helpful and have no problem providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed. The city needs someone like you with skills in operations of youth programming, recreational activities, and you finding genuine enjoyment in what you do!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RECREATION ATTENDANT

  • Pursuing high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalency.
  • No experience required
  • Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test administered by the City of Edinburg at the city's expense
