Shift: 11.5 HRs
Wage: $78.00 -$86 /HR

About the Role:

As a Raise Miner at Dumas, you will be responsible for developing vertical or inclined openings (raises) and installing critical infrastructure such as ventilation systems, manways, and utility services. This role ensures safe access, proper airflow, and operational efficiency between mine levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excavate and advance raises using approved drilling and blasting techniques.
  • Install ventilation ducting and fans to maintain airflow in the raise.
  • Construct and secure manways (ladders, platforms, safety landings) for personnel access and emergency egress.
  • Install water lines, air lines, and electrical cables as required for mine operations.
  • Ensure all services are properly anchored and protected during mucking and blasting.
  • Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet all targets.
  • Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core with Specialty Module U0020 (Operate Raise Climber) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating raise climbers in underground mining.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent safety record and ability to work in confined spaces.
