Our biggest priority is providing outstanding customer service & revolutionizing the industry through the use of the latest technology.

Job Purpose

Priority Waste is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the applications and integrations that connect our business systems. This is a hands-on senior role reporting directly to the CTO, based on-site at our headquarters in Clinton Township, MI. You will split your time between integrating our core systems and building custom applications where the business needs them.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and build integrations between core business systems: operations, ERP, payroll, contact center, and others.
  • Replace manual and ad-hoc workflows with reliable, monitored services.
  • Build and operate APIs and cloud services on Azure.
  • Build custom applications end to end: internal tools, driver-facing Android apps, and customer-facing web.
  • Turn proven internal prototypes into supported production software.
  • Additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including shipping both integrations and user-facing applications.
  • Fluency with AI agents and AI-assisted development.
  • Deep experience building on a major cloud platform; Azure preferred.
  • Experience designing, building, and consuming production APIs.
  • Comfort operating as the sole application engineer: you scope, build, ship, and operate.
  • Expert-level C#/.NET or Node/TypeScript, with React or a comparable front-end framework.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Android mobile or tablet app development for field workers.
  • eCommerce or payments integration experience.
  • Experience in waste, logistics, or another operations-heavy industry.
