Staff Engineer
TITLE: Staff Engineer
EMPLOYER: Fiserv Solutions, LLC
LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. subject to authorization from management)
DUTIES: Design and develop native mobile applications for Android Operating System based point-of-sale systems. Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or to improve performance. Work with Product Manager and UX designers to define and refine the requirements and work with Quality Engineers to develop the right test plans to test new features. Participate in design and code reviews. Mentor junior engineers. Work with Clover support team to analyze and fix bugs identified by merchants. Participate in on-call rotation to handle customer escalations. Take ownership of complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives that typically span multiple teams, guiding technical execution from concept through launch.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 4 years in any job title involving Android development experience. Prior experience must include: 4 years working with algorithms and data structures; 4 years of software development experience with Java; 4 years of technical leadership delivering complex systems to production; 4 years working in software architecture and object-oriented design; 4 years working with MySQL or SQLite; 3 years working with Kotlin; 3 years using end-to-end software development tools including Gradle, GIT, and Jenkins; and 2 years using Mockito, Robolectric, or Espresso.
