Job description

Weโ€™re an early-stage, high growth, AI-native startup on a mission to reshape the way people train, move, and feel.We believe fitness is the ultimate unlock for living wellโ€”physically, mentally, and emotionally. Backed by proven founders and deeply committed to our mission, weโ€™re building something bold, human, and deeply personal.Weโ€™re in stealth for now. But weโ€™re moving fastโ€”and building to last.

Description

We're hiring a senior Android engineer to own and build our Android application from the ground up. You'll be the force behind bringing our athlete and coach experience to Android โ€” architecting a world-class mobile product that mirrors and evolves alongside our existing iOS application.

This role is for someone who thrives in a greenfield setting. You're energized by the challenge of building clean, scalable architecture from scratch, and you have the instincts to make smart decisions fast. You think in systems, sweat the details, and ship with confidence.

You'll work directly with our founding team, iOS engineers, and product partners to translate a proven iOS experience into a native Android product โ€” and eventually help push both platforms forward together.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and build our Android application from scratch, referencing our existing iOS product as the feature and experience baseline
  • Own the full Android codebase โ€” from system architecture and data layer to UI and performance
  • Collaborate closely with our iOS and backend teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality cross-platform experience
  • Establish Android-specific best practices, testing infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribute to product decisions and help define the roadmap as the platform scales

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of Android development experience, with at least one greenfield application in your track record
  • Deep expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android architecture patterns
  • Strong instincts for building scalable, maintainable systems โ€” you architect for the long game
  • A history of being an athlete in a structured training program โ€” or better yet, a coach
  • Up to date on the latest programming techniques and tooling
  • Curiosity, authenticity, and clear communication

Compensation: $140Kโ€“$190K + 0.2%โ€“1% equity

What It's Like Here

We move fast, think clearly, and act on data. We sweat the details, celebrate the wins, and course-correct without ego. The environment is intense but energizing. We're building with speed and soul, and we hold ourselves to a high standard.

We work out as a team almost every day and are the principal users of our own product.

This is not a role for someone who wants to be handed a spec. It's a role for someone who wants to own the platform, set the standard, and build something athletes will rely on every day.

How We Work

We are in person in Boulder, CO three days a week. We have a flexible time off policy, where you can take the days you need for your health and loved ones, matched with a culture of owning your deliverables. This company is in launch mode. All processes are single threaded, and everyone is giving their all to bring vision into reality and gift the coaching experience to the world.
