Job Summary

The Regional Sales Director manages the overall activities of the West coast regional sales team and achieve sales objectives by growing current customer sales volume and securing new customers. Supports the executive team with forecasting, market analysis, and market intelligence. The sales professional is located in the geographical territory. Preferred cities include Dallas, TX,Oklahoma City, OK,Minneapolis, MN,Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ and Salt Lake City, UT.

Manages and develops sales plans for a team of account managers. Focuses on the long-term planning and selling of a variety of products, services, and/or solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined group of existing clients. Ensures that account managers meet the ongoing needs of clients and prospects while accomplishing individual revenue goals. May be personally responsible for managing major accounts. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day management of multiple Territory Sales Managers within a designated region to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed gross profit goals
  • Directs achievement of sales objectives including sales revenue, region development and business development
  • Plans, executes, and manages team to the P&L
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue targets
  • Ensure sales goals and forecasts are in alignment with the company's 3 year and 10 years goals
  • Leada a sales team to achieve or exceed sales objectives and goals
  • Leads the sales organization with a natural "hunter" sales mentality that is goal driven and self-motivated
  • Collaborates with marketing and product development teams to develop selling strategies, marketing campaigns, and other tools required to achieve revenue and gross profit goals
  • Works effectively with operational and administrative departments as needed
  • Creates and executes sales strategies that is in alignment with sales leadership and can be effectively communicated companywide
  • Cultivates and maintains long term, professional relationships with customers with the intent to grow sales and help customer achieve their growth objectives
  • Maintains the company's product competitiveness via market and customer research provides ongoing sales support for customers
  • Develops and/or implements training programs that supports existing and new team member's professional growth
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business, sales, marketing or communication based major, or equivalent work experience
  • At least seven years of progressive work experience in a field sales role with a proven track record of selling success with at least five years in a leadership role; experience in the B2B hydraulics industry is a plus
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time, based on business need, with some overnight travel
