The Dispensary Associate at FINO Brands, Inc. plays a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience from the moment someone walks through our doors. This position blends customer service, education, compliance, and sales in a fast-paced, highly regulated medical cannabis is environment. You’ll help patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their purchases—while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.

This role requires strict adherence to MMTC security protocols, OMMU regulations, company SOPs, and all applicable state and federal safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding, patient-first customer service in alignment with company standards.
  • Meet or exceed individual sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Build long-term patient relationships through education, trust, loyalty programs, and grassroots community engagement.
  • Accurately recommend cannabis products based on patient needs and physician recommendations.
  • Clearly explain product effects, formats, and general cannabis knowledge in a compliant and approachable way.
  • Address patient questions or concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
  • Process transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including accurate cash handling.
  • Maintain strict compliance with state regulations, company policies, and asset protection procedures.
  • Dispense medical cannabis through the Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR).
  • Assist with daily opening and closing procedures, including display setup and breakdown.
  • Support inventory processes such as receiving, stocking, replenishment, and cycle counts.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain patient records.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Maintain educational materials, patient packets, and in-store resources.
  • Keep the dispensary clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
  • Protect patient confidentiality in full compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Retail experience with cash handling and POS systems required.
  • Experience in regulated environments (pharmacy, banking, healthcare, compliance-driven roles) strongly preferred.
  • Medical cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general computer proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures consistently.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed.
  • Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and work independently when needed.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • This role operates in a professional retail dispensary environment and regularly uses standard office and retail equipment, including computers, phones, and POS systems. This is a part-time position, with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS AND WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screening (FDLE/FBI) as required for MMTC employees under Florida Law.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • This role operates in a professional retail dispensary environment and regularly uses standard office and retail equipment, including computers, phones, and POS systems.
  • This is a full-time position, with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel occasionally within Florida.
