MM Limited Partnership (MML), a Mikisew Group company, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position ofEquipment Operatorto join our operation at Syncrude Canada Site. MML provides comprehensive Client services in facility maintenance, road and grounds, projects, winterization services and industrial refrigeration services.


  • Shift: 7 Days on 7 days off (12 hrs/day)
  • Preferably local hire, no camp provided
  • Wage: Per collective agreement/General Presidents Maintenance Agreement (GPMA)
  • Must be willing/able to join Union Local 955

Purpose & Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide high quality support for MMLP operations onsite.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to MMLP and Syncrude Safety Management System, policies, procedures, and values
  • Perform work and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, company, and site policies/procedures
  • Snow & Ice removal for winter season
  • Ensure all equipment is safely and securely stored;
  • Maintain daily records and reports as required;
  • Industrial setting, working under permit experience preferred
  • Work well with others in a team atmosphere;
  • Able to accept change in priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Other duties as required by supervisor/manager.

Working Conditions:

  • Industrial plant / remote locations. The working environment isconstruction and/or industrial sites, outdoors in all types of weather conditions (hot/cold, wet/dry).


Qualifications/Experience:

  • Certification from a recognized trade board or governing body.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with precision tools and alignment techniques.


Site Required Training

  • OSSA Regional Orientation, BSO, CSO, WHMIS 2015
  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Aerial Work Platform (AWP), Confined Space, Fall Arrest, Skid Steer, Forklift, Zoom Boom
  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License & Clean Driving Record
  • Successfully complete Pre-Access Alcohol & Drug Screening
