Job description

"OB Hospitalist – Site Director
Position Summary:
As part of the Ob Hospitalist clinical team, an Ob Hospitalist embraces delivering a quality OB Hospitalist program Value-Based culture.
OB Site Director Role:
  • Program Operations to ensure quality care is delivered
  • Building and maintaining relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff and administrative leadership
  • Maintaining relationships with the physician and CNM Ob Hospitalist team
  • This position reports to a Market Medical Director (MMD), Medical Director of Operations (MDO) or Vice President of Clinical Operations (VPCO)
  • Will collaborate with the MMD, MDO or VPCO to ensure the clinical team is delivering a quality program that achieves both OBHG's and the hospital's clinical and operational objectives
  • Director of Ob Hospitalists is also expected to travel to the hospital as needed to address hospital and hospitalist operational priorities
  • Train & develop new clinicians in the Value-Based culture
  • Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations
  • Manage minor physician issues and escalate to the MMD, MDO or VPCO as appropriate
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, MMD, MDO or VPCO and DOO to identify ways to increase hospital Labor and Delivery utilization
Shifts:
  • At least five (5) 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts each 28-day period

Requirements:
  • Board Certified Ob/Gyn Physician
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of assigned site
  • Highly relational, able to build strong rapport and positive working relationships with all stakeholders (Hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and OBHG corporate staff)
  • Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
