Job Summary

Sonoma Raceway is seeking a motivated and results-driven Senior Catering Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for the leadership, planning, and execution of front-of-the house catering and Premium hospitality.

This position leads catered hospitality programs throughout the property and suite service as applicable, translating event requirements into successful operations through planning, staffing, inventory and product management, setup, service execution, breakdown, and follow-up. As a senior operational leader within a lean management structure, the Senior Catering Manager is expected to independently lead assigned events, develop the Premium/Catering team, and maintain high service and presentation standards.


Key Responsibilities:
    Maintain primarily operational ownership, including event planning, readiness, staffing, setup, service execution, breakdown, and ongoing organization
   Lead front-of-house execution of catered hospitality events throughout Sonoma Raceway and oversee suite operations when activated
   Review BEO's, event timelines, guarantees, and other event information to develop operational plans, including staffing, equipment, smallwares, linen, beverage, product, rental, and service needs; coordinate and order necessary rentals
   Lead event setup, walkthroughs, service, troubleshooting, breakdown, reset, and post-event follow-up, ensuring spaces remain organized, properly supplied, guest-ready, and consistent with service and presentation standards
   Develop staffing plans; schedule and deploy supervisors and hourly event staff; and lead pre-shift communication to ensure clear assignments, timelines, and service expectations
   Collaborate with culinary, operations, and events teams to ensure successful execution of events
   Meet and exceed monthly and annual revenue goals
   Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the property
Qualifications:
   Minimum of 5 years of experience in foodservice, catering, hospitality, or premium operations preferred
   Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
   Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
   Ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment
   Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
   Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
