ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Study annual, semi-annual, seasonal, monthly, and daily sales and devise a budget.
• Assist and collaborate with the Manager to ensure the store operations meet their budget.
• Assist the Manager in developing and executing sales strategies (annual, semi-annual,
seasonal, and monthly), including sales promotion such as advertisements (social media).
• Assist buyers in the procurement of the merchandise.
• Propose cultural sales strategies (annual, semi-annual, seasonal, and monthly)
• Search for an excellent VMD (Visual Merchandising Display) and execute it.
• Propose sales events.
• Use guest feedback to improve store operations.
• Infuse every aspect of sales activities and guest contacts with the spirit of OMOTENASHI.
• Observe the legal and regulatory requirements for product warranties and safety in
collaboration with the Manager of Safety and Facilities.
• Keep the store clean.
• Become a key holder, Open/Close the store yourself, Return/Exchange, and handle petty
cash.
• Let the employees understand that it can be the first and last encounter with Japanese
• Culture for most visitors to the store...ICHIGO ICHIE
• Coach and mentor employees to improve and help them grow while creating magical
• moments for the guests.
• Determines what information, skills, and training are needed to ensure each guest has a
"touching" and "moving" experience at the point of sale and then delivers the discovery to
the employees.
• Evaluate employees as necessity arises or semi-annually.
• Review the performance of responsible sections against the budget and, if necessary, take
aggressive corrective actions
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Develop and execute training programs in collaboration with the store managers, the guest service manager, and Human Resources.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.A.) preferred
• One year of work experience in a retail business. or
• One year of work experience at Mitsukoshi.
• General knowledge of employment laws.
• Basic understanding of the Japanese Culture
• Bilingual in Japanese is preferred but optional.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
• Able to communicate effectively in English with supervisors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
• Able to work effectively and relate well with others Including supervisors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
• Able to do basic arithmetic which includes subtraction, addition, division, multiplication and counting of items. The employee must also be able to analyze and solve simple problems.
