About This Role

We believe people should love what they do - in this role, you will be responsible for:

Manage all phases of programs from inception through completion, Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes milestones and monitors master plans and schedule. 

Disciplined program execution with a bias towards action, analytical presentation and problem-solving skills; the ability to gain internal support; and the ability to establish and maintain a solid working relationship with technical staff, managers, and peers. 

Establish cost controls and monitor adherence to contract requirements, reporting and justifying costs. Establish and monitor adherence to program plans including schedule and risk management, resource planning, requirements management, and cash flow management. Prepare and issues operational and program directives and controlling product configuration.

Design and execute formal capture plans and monitor competitor activity for each capture. The candidate is expected to exercise sound judgment within broadly defined practices and policies; regularly interact with all levels of management, technical staff, and customers; and display a high degree of tact and diplomacy. 

Demonstrated ability to translate technical requirements into executable program plans and drive technical decisionmaking with engineering leadership

Experience with risk identification and mitigation related to software development, systems integration, and technology maturation.

Ability to partner closely with engineering leads to ensure scope clarity, technical feasibility, and schedule adherence.

Experience delivering products in regulated or missioncritical domains (aerospace, defense, complex systems, etc.) is highly desirable.

 Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master's degree in Engineering and/or an MBA preferred.

  Certifications Preferred: Certification in Defense Program Management. Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP). 

   5 years of related experience in a similar role, industry, or functional area.
