Familiarity with project management software, Xactimate estimating systems, and compliance with industry standards is typically required. What are Mitigation Project Managers?

Mitigation Project Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing projects that reduce or prevent the negative impacts of disasters, hazards, or environmental risks. They coordinate teams, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Their work often involves planning, implementing, and monitoring mitigation strategies, such as flood control systems or wildfire prevention measures. They also work closely with government agencies, contractors, and communities to ensure project success and safety.

Job description

When a basement floods at 2 a.m. or a fire leaves a family unsure where to start, someone has to step in immediately. That someone is you.
MITIGATION TECHNICIAN
Insurcomm Restoration Fortify Companies
Field-Based Full-Time Hooksett, NH
Pay: Starting at $20, depending on experience.
About Us
Insurcomm Restoration delivers complete restoration, reconstruction, and emergency response you can rely on when everything needs to go right. For more than 30 years, we have helped property owners, facility teams, and communities recover from fire, water, mold, storms, and environmental hazards.
As part of Fortify Companies, we are part of something bigger. Fortify's roots are in restoration-helping families and businesses recover when disaster strikes. But we're building something beyond recovery: a platform that aligns insurance carriers, property owners, and service providers across prevention, response, restoration, and rebuild.
We believe helping people rebuild after a loss is only half the job. Through our family of companies, we deliver coordinated care from prevention to restoration across 210+ markets nationwide, backed by Summit Partners. Our teams, technology, and local expertise come together so property owners and insurers get fewer losses, faster recoveries, and someone they can trust.

  • Showing up with a service heart: We help people move forward with empathy, respect, and unwavering commitment
  • Bringing the energy: We show up with urgency and a get-it-done mindset, owning every outcome
  • Predictability in the unpredictable: With standardized systems, we deliver consistency every time
  • Driving success together: By supporting one another, we strengthen relationships and drive results

About the Job
As a Mitigation Technician, you will provide emergency restoration services for families and businesses affected by fire, water, mold, sewer, and storm damage. You are on the front lines of recovery-stabilizing properties, preventing further damage, and delivering professional, compassionate service during stressful situations.
When it matters most, we show up with heart-and we need technicians who do the same.
What You'll Do
  • Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess property damage caused by fire, water, mold, and weather-related events
  • Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation services in accordance with IICRC standards
  • Remove and dispose of damaged building materials safely and efficiently
  • Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected interior spaces
  • Collaborate with the Contents Division to clean, pack, and store salvageable items
  • Document job progress through photos and detailed notes using PSA and other required software
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, answering questions with empathy and respect
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
  • Properly set up, operate, clean, and store tools and equipment
  • Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols, including daily documentation of consumables and equipment use
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with project managers, crew chiefs, and team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the team and business.

Ready to Join Us?
We are building the future of property protection, and we need dedicated mitigation technicians to help us get there. If you take pride in hands-on work, care about helping people during difficult times, and are ready to be part of a team that shows up when it matters most, we would love to hear from you.
