Mitigation Project Manager                                            

Company Background:

One of the most trusted names in disaster restoration services with offices in Chicago’s South suburbs is seeking a self-motivated, energetic, persuasive individual to fill our Mitigation Project Manager position. This is an individual that is committed to conducting business according to our core beliefs:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen and pre-qualify every new assignment.
  • Review, proof and finalize all scopes with adjusters and clients.
  • Assign a Superintendent to each and every project.
  • Complete an accurate estimate with listings of all items required to complete the services.
  • Review completed files for profitability and accuracy of the original scope.
  • Handle pertinent calls with the adjuster, agent property manager, tenant or other concerned party.
  • Make initial contact with the insured and the adjuster.
  • Assure that your Team is trained and updated in safety responsibilities.
  • Responsible for undertaking marketing activities that will lead to more work from current sources and new work from new sources.
  • Managing details of multiple projects in a sufficient and organized manner.
  • Communicating a positive image of the company to the entire staff.
  • Implementing the company's vision and mission and achieving goals.
  • Responsible for project outcomes and issues.
  • Prospecting and locating additional projects.
  • Assist in problem solving and motivating team members to better the company.
  • Work with the Claims Coordinator and Administration to collect debts for all projects, as needed.

 
Ideal Candidate:

  • Be available for oncall and emergency services.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the team for timely job completion.
  • Write accurate estimates for projects and scope of work.
  • Manage multiple client accounts at a time.
  • Train and lead employees to successful projects and elevated customer services.
  • Manage projects to consistently achieve a high degree of profitability.
  • Manage professional and timely customer service contact with clients, employees and vendors.
  • Produce reports as needed regarding customer information.
  • Generate information within a reasonable time frame with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintains the company's policies and procedures.

 
Knowledge of:

  • Industry software: Xactimate, T&M Pro, PSA, iCat, Mica, E3, and Moisture Mapper.
  • Third Party Administrators: Contractor Connection, Sedgwick, and Accuserve.
  • Proper pricing and estimates for material costs and needs for projects.
  • Understanding of estimating programs and other related programs required for the position.
  • Working with annual budgets, business plans, and sales goals.
  • Laws, rules and regulations that govern the areas of your job, including but not limited to project and site management, relate to the administration and the company.
  • Cooperation and respect for others. Working in a close office environment and working with others to respect ideas and opinions.
  • Developing and presenting creative solutions to problems.

 
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in management or construction, or related field
  • Minimum five years of experience in water mitigation services, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

 
Working Conditions:

  • Working outdoors in varying temperature conditions and some direct exposure to hazardous substances 
  • Workers may be subject to uncomfortable working conditions including exposure to extreme heat or cold, dust, noise, unusual heights, confined spaces, electrical currents, and construction hazards. 
  • Due to the nature of the work, often the job sites will be dirty, possibly cold or wet and sometimes unsanitary.  
  • Employees will be required to wear protective gear as necessary and most working hours.

 
Compensation and Benefits:
