Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction Projects


The Senior Project Manager will oversee the successful delivery of complex commercial construction projects, managing all aspects of project execution including budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, client relationships, and overall project performance. This role will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and financial objectives are achieved.
  • Oversee project budgets, contracts, change orders, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project partners.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, risk management, and mitigation efforts.
  • Oversee project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change management, meeting minutes, and reporting.
  • Manage project management systems such as Procore for document control and project tracking.
  • Negotiate vendor agreements, purchase orders, and subcontractor contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, codes, and quality expectations.
  • Support project handoff, project closeout, and client turnover processes.
  • Mentor and develop project managers and support team growth.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered.
  • 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing complex projects within healthcare, higher education, industrial, energy, or large-scale commercial facilities preferred.
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, MEP, or energy-related contractors strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GMP, lump sum, and other construction delivery methods.
  • Experience with Procore or similar project management platforms.
  • OSHA 30, CPR, or First Aid certifications preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
