Grade: 170

Salary: $22.96/hour

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for performing specialized investigative and child support work; responsible for the establishment of orders and initiation and follow through of enforcement activities leading to the collection of payments on existing orders.
  • Responsible for assigned client caseload from the initiation of required activities, until children reach the legal age of emancipation.
  • Required to interview the custodial parent, non-custodial parent, employers, other agencies, staff and the public at large. Gathers information from investigation and research used to determine a legal basis for the establishment of paternity and/or the collection of support payments.
  • Assists the Child Support Enforcement Supervisor in the training and review of Child Support Enforcement Technicians I, and responds to public inquiries, and performs the duties of the Child Support Enforcement Technician Supervisors during their absence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Four years of work related experience, which includes child support enforcement, insurance claims, credit or other financial resource investigation, experience in activities related to the practice of law or its enforcement, and/or the administration of justice
  • Must pass skills assessment test, administered by the department during applicant interview.
  • Must meet qualifications to serve as Notary Public in the State of Missouri.
  • Must possess/maintain valid Missouri Driver's License.
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
